    Have you tried using Tags to accomplish this. Tag the issue with "Status: Sold" and then under My Details change the Quantity value from 1 to 0.

    On the My Comics page you can then filter to see the issues you've sold using My Tags.

    Another reason for separate entries, is if you want to list one copy to keep and another to sell. In this scenario I have the two copies stored in different boxes, as well.
