What features would you like to see?

  1. "Pre-Ordered" button for upcoming comics.

    add a "pre-order" option to comics, so that I can track which issues I've pre-ordered. It could be a sub-section of "collection" and when you "pre-order," it's removed from your pull list.

  2. Identify incomplete issues/series for contributors to work on.

    As a contributor, it would be nice to be able to see books with missing information--uncredited creators, no cast list, missing issues, and covers, etc etc etc.

    I'm not sure how this could be streamlined, exactly--a search seems a bit complicated. Maybe a button to hit when you notice something is incomplete, so that you can browse those flags under the contributions pages?

  3. Character subscribe option

    I would like to be able to subscribe to a character and be notified of upcoming appearances. Similarly, it would be nice to be able to add all past appearances of a character to wanted, like we can for a series.

  4. View people’s collections

    I would like to be able to view other people’s collections, like have an option for whether or not you want your comics to be public or private.

  7. Ability to sort and search personal stats.

    The Top 20s have been a really fun aspect of the site for me--watching characters arrive or be pushed out as I go through deep dives into their appearances is a delight. The problem, of course, is how clunky that data is, as well as how inaccessible.

    I've been bothered by the cluttering of Personas in personal reading stats; it seems like it would be great to see all your personal stats of (for example) Jean Grey without her having separate entries under her four other personas.

  8. Read/Purchased Date Sorting/Filtering

    Sort by date. Sort Read list by date read, sort collection by Purchase Date, or by Added Date. Maybe have a filter by Date, so I can filter only issues I bought on a certain Date.

    Similar/recommended comics section on comic pages. Users can recommend similar reading and others can support the recommendation.

    Social Media Connectivity

    A social media connectivity system is at the same time extremely positive to the users who like to share their updates AND LoCG, especially when we talk about sites like Twitter and Tumblr where the majority of comic book fans resides.

    It is not something hard to implement and it's extremely simple to make it through an automatic tweet system. The ONLY "difficult" task there is to create the buttons layout and stuff to, whenever I mark a comic as read/owned, show up an option to share it on social websites. Examples:

  11. Pull options

    It would be nice if we could make a note of pull sources/type; for those of us who pre-order some books, have a pull list at one or more comic shops, and also pick stuff up at specific shops. For example, I pre-order some indies from TFAW, have my major pulls at my LCS, and have some issues marked to pull circumstantially.

    This could be a simple pull-down with 'pre-ordered' or 'shop 1' through 'shop 3' or so. A way to remind yourself without checking orders.

  12. Adding trade to My Comics counts towards comics owned

    When adding a trade that collects, for example #1-5, it should update the amount owned by that number of comics. Currently it only adds to the number you own if you add each comic individually.

  13. An "updates" feed

    A way to add comics to an "updates" feed that allows you to track when new issues in followed series come out. Sure, you could add those comics to your pull feed, but most people only use that for comics they intend to COLLECT, not just to keep up with. Also, you COULD just make a community list but keep it private, however, that forces the user to then individually search EACH one to see if a new issue was added.   14. Organize different series into 'Franchises'

    It would be very nice to add the concept of "Franchises" where each franchise can show a list of all sereis that fall into it. Currently, it is difficult to follow a franchise from with LOCG itself. I have to do my research outside the website. I would love to see the ability of every series to have multiple franchises that it can fall into.

    A franchise can be a subset from another, or overlap with another. A franchise contains any number of series. A series fall into any number of franchises.

    organize my customers' pulls by FOC. Many customers add items to their pulls that are outside our typically ordered items so having an exported list by FOC will ensure we order in time.

  16. Multiple Copies: In Collection & Still On Wish List

    For most issues it's great to have the book automatically removed from My Wish List when I add it to My Collection.

    However when a book I've picked up doesn't quite meet the grade I'd like to have, it would be nice to be able to re-add that issue to My Wish List, thus having it in 2 states.

    This could kind of tie into the Multiple Copies: Individual Entries for Each Copy enhancement request.

  17. Easier Way to View Trades

    Currently, it seems the only way to see trades for a series is to go to that series issues, open an issue the trade collects, go to the trade listing from there, and then add the trade. It'd be really helpful if we could see trades right from the series listing, maybe on a separate tab to regular issues.

  18. Change Format and Media list options

    Can we get format list to be more like the following:
    Comic
    Digital Chapter (not sure this one is needed)
    Annual
    Magazine
    Trade Paperback
    Original Graphic Novel
    Book

    Then have a Media type:
    Softcover
    Hardcover
    Digital

    I find the current list doesn't match a lot of the varieties of products out there.

  19. Option to sort search results by relevance

    When you use the search system, you can sort alphabetically, by date, or by issue count, but not by relevance, which would be far more useful.
