What features would you like to see?

  1. Show how many people have bookmarked a list.

    Provide data for community lists. Such as how many people have bookmarked it or completed it. There should be a way to see top lists. Lists that have the most bookmarks.

  2. View people’s collections

    I would like to be able to view other people’s collections, like have an option for whether or not you want your comics to be public or private.

  3. New Format: Comic books on CD/DVD

    They're pretty obscure now, but in the late 90s/2000s before Marvel unlimited was a thing, the company (and many others) officially released their comics on CD/DVD. The discs were basically solely a collection of printable .pdfs that functioned the same way as an omnibus, except they could hold many more comics.

    I was just wondering, could this be added as a new format to the database? I know they're not really a 'book' but if digital chapters are a format, it would make sense for these to be as well.

    They'd also have a functional use as well: omnibuses…

  4. Wider emphasis on not superhero comics

    I feel the app could have a wider audience if it focused less on the super hero titles form the biggest publishers and highlighted more manga, web comics and independant comics. It would open the platform more for people who like comics but are not really into the superhero genre. you could help by being able to search for genre, country or language. not saying that the site ignores these titles but I do feel it can focus more on titles not from the big two companies from america.

  6. Add reading rank to character profiles

    When viewing a character, perhaps we could add a character's placement in your personal reading rank--where they are anywhere on your Top Read list--next to the personal 'collected' and 'read' numbers. As it is, scrolling through hundreds of characters on the app isn't ideal to find that placement, and also it might be fun to better illustrate a personal relationship to a character.

  7. Publisher Filter on App/Saveable

    Can you add the publisher filter on the app just like the filter option that’s on the website? It would also be great to save those filter settings on both versions.

  9. Identify incomplete issues/series for contributors to work on.

    As a contributor, it would be nice to be able to see books with missing information--uncredited creators, no cast list, missing issues, and covers, etc etc etc.

    I'm not sure how this could be streamlined, exactly--a search seems a bit complicated. Maybe a button to hit when you notice something is incomplete, so that you can browse those flags under the contributions pages?

  10. Ability to sort and search personal stats.

    The Top 20s have been a really fun aspect of the site for me--watching characters arrive or be pushed out as I go through deep dives into their appearances is a delight. The problem, of course, is how clunky that data is, as well as how inaccessible.

    I've been bothered by the cluttering of Personas in personal reading stats; it seems like it would be great to see all your personal stats of (for example) Jean Grey without her having separate entries under her four other personas.

  11. Making Alphabetical (A-Z) sort the same on both the app and website

    When sorting my comics, I've been sorting them alphabetically. When switching between the app and the website, I realized they have a different system for sorting titles, and that's really annoying when you're trying to sort alphabetically.

  12. Ability to apply Origin Story issues to a Character

    As User I might want to collect the origin story of a specific Character. Sometimes these are considered Key Issues for collectors. Looking at current input options all we would need is a Value stating "Origin".

  13. My Comics - Ability to track duplicates other than just by Quantity

    As a User I may have multiple of the same issue, but I may have paid a different amount, received a different grade, one is raw vs. the other Slabbed, etc. It would be nice to track these duplicates.

    I believe this will be even more important now that the Market system has been put in place and the new Estimated Cost, Newsstand Price and Price Paid tracking is available.

  14. Jump to Issue Number

    With some Series having 100's of issues and including variants etc. It would be nice as a User to have a selectable number per 100 issues to quickly click which in turn would "jump" the user to start with. Or have a manual entry number field that could be populated/entered to quickly navigate to the User to that issue number.

  15. Print Run Quantity Stats

    If an issue has a known print run quantity, we should be able to fill that in. This would be especially helpful on variants as some are limited to very finite runs.

    Some variants are also order based, like 1:10 or 1:25 variants. This is a different rarity stat, but would also be very useful.

  16. Search by Diamond/Distributor Code

    It would be nice to be able to search against the Distributor Code (formerly Diamond Code) field to quickly get to an issue in the database.

    Sometimes issues/series are named differently from what you would expect or an issue is in a different place than you'd think and it would be nice to just be able to pinpoint it with a unique identifier like that.

  17. Search with key words not exact match for starts with

    Non-exact match searching. Today when you search it seems like it's doing an exact match for starts with rather than a general search to find comics. Sometimes it can be difficult to find comics since they are listed in the database with a slightly different name or with symbols like "/" or ":" which aren't exactly on the comic itself

  18. allow for multiple discounts for different publishers

    my LCS gives me 16% off for the big two and 13% off other publishers, would be nice to have this reflected in the pull list discount feature.

  19. Custom organization for collections / arrangeable icons

    There have been a handful of suggestions I've seen about making organization more customizable. IMO the best way would be to be able to move the icons / tumbnails when looking at your own individual collection. Example: Amazing spider-man is at the top of my list, and then superior spider-man is closer to the bottom. Being able to drag each series to where you want them on a grid to better keep titles / characters / events clustered together visually, rather than having to use tags and other convoluted ways to group them.   20. New Marvel imprints

    Is the absence of Ultimate Marvel, Marvel Comics 2 and Marvel Noir a deliberate choice? Because on wikipedia they are officially recognized as imprints like Marvel Knights and MAX. I would like clarifications on this and, if necessary, the possibility of adding.
