What happens when I follow another community member?

Following another community member on League of Comic Geeks is a great way to personalize your experience on the platform in a variety of ways:

When viewing the Community Feeds, you can switch between a Trending and Followed filters to narrow your focus to those members you follow. On Followed, you can see when comments are added making it very easy to jump into ongoing discussions with them. Additionally, you'll see their comic reading log activity within the Feed regardless of a review being posted.

When viewing a Comic page on the website, you will additionally see their ratings activity. This is immensely helpful in seeing what other like-minded members thought of a particular comic.

When viewing a Series page on the website, note the Reviews tab. From the Reviews tab, you can see the range of issue ratings and reviews for a particular series. Within the rating line chart, a specific line for these followed members will appear so you can compare against yourself as well as the larger community. Then, down below, you can filter down to the reviews from these followed members as well.

Series recommendations are peppered throughout the website including on your Dashboard and in the Browse section. When following other members, your recommendations will be influenced by those you follow. If they like or subscribe to a particular series, it may appear as a recommendation and be identified as such.

Beyond these areas, when using specific privacy options these followed members can be granted access to your profile should you choose to lock it down to the public.
