When using the mobile app, the scanner will read the barcode that was placed in frame to then search these numbers within our database. If the UPC/ISBN finds a match, it will display to add. When scanning, ensure you cover the entirety of the barcode. If you don't see all of the digits in the "Looking up..." message, this implies it did not scan the full barcode. Many barcodes have extensions (a second piece to the barcode), these are generally the issue number and printing. If the extension is not scanned, you may not find the specific comic. We suggest enabling the EXT mode on the bottom to force the camera to only search when an extension has been read.
If the full barcode was scanned and you could not find your comic, it is certainly possible we do not have the UPC/ISBN in our database. As our database is community-driven, the UPC/ISBN may not have been added yet, but it is likely the comic is indeed there. Try a text search to find it.
