What features would you like to see?

  1. allow for multiple discounts for different publishers

    my LCS gives me 16% off for the big two and 13% off other publishers, would be nice to have this reflected in the pull list discount feature.

  2. New Marvel imprints

    Is the absence of Ultimate Marvel, Marvel Comics 2 and Marvel Noir a deliberate choice? Because on wikipedia they are officially recognized as imprints like Marvel Knights and MAX. I would like clarifications on this and, if necessary, the possibility of adding.

  3. Review full series

  4. Custom organization for collections / arrangeable icons

    There have been a handful of suggestions I've seen about making organization more customizable. IMO the best way would be to be able to move the icons / tumbnails when looking at your own individual collection. Example: Amazing spider-man is at the top of my list, and then superior spider-man is closer to the bottom. Being able to drag each series to where you want them on a grid to better keep titles / characters / events clustered together visually, rather than having to use tags and other convoluted ways to group them.   5. Change Format and Media list options

    Can we get format list to be more like the following:
    Comic
    Digital Chapter (not sure this one is needed)
    Annual
    Magazine
    Trade Paperback
    Original Graphic Novel
    Book

    Then have a Media type:
    Softcover
    Hardcover
    Digital

    I find the current list doesn't match a lot of the varieties of products out there.

  6. Add a search filter for showing empty series

    This one is mostly for moderators, but it would be nice to be able to see empty series in a search. I've found empty series before that need to be merged into existing ones while searching in the Collects/Reprints box while adding to TPBs, but can't get to them in the search. If they're not in the first 6 returned on the search screen, they're hidden from the final results.

    Also helps for finding series that already exist but happen to still be empty when trying to add books or to give to users trying to add that series.

  7. Adding trade to My Comics counts towards comics owned

    When adding a trade that collects, for example #1-5, it should update the amount owned by that number of comics. Currently it only adds to the number you own if you add each comic individually.

  8. Add comics to customers from weekly release window

    I'd love to be able to add comics to customer subscriptions from the weekly release window.

  9. Easier Way to View Trades

    Currently, it seems the only way to see trades for a series is to go to that series issues, open an issue the trade collects, go to the trade listing from there, and then add the trade. It'd be really helpful if we could see trades right from the series listing, maybe on a separate tab to regular issues.

  10. Import from XML or .TXT

    I've been using Collectorz Comic Collection DB for years, but haven't been terribly happy with it for the last few. I'm hoping to switch to LoCG, but I've thousands of issues to add. It'd be really helpful if we could import either XML or .txt files to help add issues to our DB here quickly.

  11. Setting to disable alternative covers / variants & reprints

    I would love to be able to always hide Variants & Reprints.
    They are right now not selected by default when you view a SERIES details.

    However they all show up when you search. This means that when you expand a series in the search list, it has to fill the list with tons of variants.

    This slows down the search and display (it takes a couple of seconds since the UI is slow sometimes), and it makes a mess.

    I think it should be disabled by default there, or added as an option to have it. Default should still…

  12. Cover cycling

    A way to cycle through the variants with some sort of pop-out would be nice. Or just a way to cycle through all covers if browsing in a series. Having to wait for the page to re load is cumbersome while I'm just trying to browse the 12 variants for Alien #1. :) Still loving the site just giving feedback when I see it.

  13. Search to understand years

    It can be daunting to start understanding how volumes and such works in comics. Still not sure I understand it perfectly.

    But since there is a way to see when comics are released, how about making the search use this as well.

    If I search for "Avengers 2020", right now all I see is a "The Avengers #28 - 2020 Variant", from 2019.

    This is not really what I'm trying to find.

    I want to find any series that are serialized in this year, or possibly released in this year.

    If I know I want to find some special comic…

  14. Open Series from My Comics list mode

    When viewing in List Mode or Search Result, you can click to expand the series, and see all issues in it. You can't however click to open the series.

    When viewing in Thumbnail Mode, you can click to open the series, but you can't expand to see all issues.

    I would like to be able to Right-Click and open in new tab (or middle-mouse click at least), to open a series in a new tab instead of having to left-click to expand it, and then open an issue in a new tab. This adds extra loading, which is also bogged…

  15. Option to sort search results by relevance

    When you use the search system, you can sort alphabetically, by date, or by issue count, but not by relevance, which would be far more useful.

  17. Separation for "Issue Name" or "Chapter Title"

    I mainly request this feature because of the current display for arc titles.

    "THEIR DARK DESIGNS PART 7 solictationtextgoeshere" isn't exactly the most appealing way to display something. I'd go for adding quotation marks, though I heard those aren't allowed.

    In any case, I feel that some form of separation that doesn't clash with the solicitation text would be useful. Maybe a subtle highlight for the chapter name so there's a visual distinction?

  18. Character Explore Pages

    I'd like to see an Explore Page that allows users to browse all characters currently in the database by tags (like teams, series featured in, and Universe/Multiverse/Earth).

    This would make it easier to discover new characters and keep them better up to date.

  19. Ability to swap main issue entry with a variant

    Occasionally, in the database, there are comics where a variant cover is mistakenly set as the parent/main comic, with the actual main cover already set as a variant. Is there a function to fix this by setting a variant as the new parent/main comic?

    Currently, the only way I can think of to swap the parent and variant around while maintaining integrity of users' collections is the following as a Rank 3 Moderator:
    1. Assume there is a Comic-1 and Comic-1-Variant and we want to swap them. Create new issue Comic-1temp and new variant Comic-1temp-Variant.
    2. "Delete and merge" Comic-1-Variant…
